Photo Diary: Langkawi I

I find it hard to believe that a month has passed since Langkawi. It makes me wonder whether my time management is off track or that there has been so much going on that days fly pass me.

Anyways, on to the tale of how we woke up around 6 in the morning in order to trek our way by foot to Komtar so that we could catch a bus to get to another bus station in Sg. Nibong. Our second bus ride was 2 hours long, with lack of sleep and a growling stomach, we arrived in another state to catch a ferry to Langkawi. Close to 2 hours later, we are in a rented car and on our way to the beach. The best part about this story is that we caught all of our rides in the nick of time. The universe took us very seriously on said day.

After frolicking on the beach, we drove to a waterfall in which we had to trek up mix matched rocks only to wade in icy cold water. It was refreshing and picture perfect. Our next destination was the cable cars, now here is where the universe pulled a fast one. It rained and we missed the sunset due to heavy clouds. Funny thing is, it brightened up as the sun was setting but just as it hit that Kodak moment, the clouds were like 'LOOK AT US.', thus blocking the view.

We capped the night off with seafood overlooking the sea and a late night drive. Day 1 turned out pretty perfect, if you asked me.

Till then,
Dreaming of my next getaway.
