Teeny-Tiny

"It's the little details in life that make all the difference."

When decorating your room, keep in mind to pay attention to the details. It's those little quirks that make your entire room more you; more whole.

Till then,
Viva la Sundays.

1/6 Get Back

H&M hat, Diva earrings & bracelets, Dress from Cambodia, Thrifted sheer vest, Forever 21 sandals.

I had the pleasure to shoot with Tasha Faye last week for Lipstiq.com's KL Lookbook. We shot mainly in Holiday Villa, walking around nonchalantly as we stumbled upon places to shoot. 2 hours, 6 looks, all in good time.

This particular outfit wasn't included in the look book but it's one of my favourites, therefore it shall be the first one up. This look is great for a day out with friends or a music festival perhaps. I think the dress and sheer vest complement each other really well. Always layer, you never know what might look good on a certain piece.

I will be posting more of the looks every now and then. To see more of Tasha Faye's amazing photos, check out her Facebook, Flickr or blog

Till then,
Get back to where you once belong.

Fiery

Thrifted blouse, Topshop high waist skirt & boots, Ciaté nail polish in Oil Slick 088

The fiery red caught my eye as I browsed through a rack at the thrift store, the velvety textured convinced me to get it. It isn't the best article of clothing to wear in our hot, humid weather, as it is thick, but I love wearing it for that collegiate look. The cut is extremely unflattering on my body, but when tucked in, it looks somewhat presentable. Cinching in the waist is the solution for most unflattering tops or dresses.

Till then,
Stay cool.

Tuesday Tunes: Gimme Nothing

In the past 2 years, I've seen them live 3 times and I plan to see more of them in the future. They sound superb live and even though you might not know the lyrics or how the song goes, you will find yourself tapping your feet along to the beat.

Till then,
Bonne nuit.

Battle Born

Last night, I was lucky enough to catch The Killers live all thanks to my friend, Mahesh, for the ticket. We went there around 4pm to lineup so that we could get front row spots and it pays to be early people. Once the gates opened, all of us sprinted to the stage and managed to score spots right behind people against the fence.

Outfit wise, this was what I wore:

The entire time during the concert, I tied the army jacket around my waist because it was incredibly warm what with jumping fans and everyone being crammed together.

Tasha's Topshop army jacket (we swapped outerwear as best friends do), Topshop sunglasses & boots,  H&M muscle tee, DIY high waist shorts, Fourskin skull bracelet, Diva cross ring.

With the one and only, Tasha.

Kyoto Protocol was the opening act. They were so good live. One of the songs they performed was of the dangdut genre and they made it their own. We were all blown away. Can't wait to catch them live again at Urbanscapes.

The Killers sound amazing live. They put on such an amazing show. No words can describe my emotions when they played Mr. Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, All The Things That I've Done, and I can go on and on but I won't. They were incredible.

Till then,
Fingers cross for future concerts featuring mind blowing bands (i.e The Strokes & Arctic Monkeys).

Smile Like You Mean It

I know I've been neglecting this blog, but I have some future posts in mind that will be put into action by next week. So stay tuned.

Anyway, in preparation, for The Killers tomorrow, I've compiled my favourite songs of theirs into one playlist and have included some outfit inspiration if you're heading for their concert tomorrow. I can't wait to see them live.

Leaning towards high waist bottoms, comfortable shoes (covered to avoid people trampling on your toes) and crop tops. We'll see how it goes.

Till then,
Have a wicked weekend!

Tuesday Tunes: No 1. Party Anthem

If you haven't heard AM, Arctic Monkey's new album, you should. This song in particular is the best. Alex Turner crooning 'come on, come on, come on', the slow dance worthy rhythm and the heart wrenching lyrics makes it a repeat-50-times-in-one-sitting song.

Evening Sun

Thrifted top & cardigan, Uniqlo pants, H&M flatforms, Bazzaro watch.

This pair of Uniqlo pants is not what I would usually go for because my legs are not the best but the print drew me to them. After trying them on, I decided that I had to have it as it was extremely comfortable. I would double this pants as pyjama bottoms without hesitation.

As you can see, this outfit is devised for maximum comfort as I will not wake up at 6am only to further subject myself to constrictive clothes. This white top is really flowy and airy, great for lunch on the deck where the sunlight is shaded by trees. I like how it looks with the cardigan, which I've never worn before until now. The embroidery is so beautiful that I was itching to wear it out someday and now the day has arrived.

On an unrelated note, I'm currently on the lookout for a proper background to shoot at, but as of now, the alley behind my house would have to suffice.

Till then,
Everything will be alright.

Crying Lightning

Kitschen parka, Lola top, Topshop skirt, Keds sneakers.

The weather on this particular day was splendid. It was chilly and perfect for a parka. The tribal detailing is my favourite part of the parka. When the sleeves are rolled up right, the tribal print can be seen on it as well. My love for parkas is unwavering because of the pockets. Everything you really need would fit into those pockets.

I hope the weather would stay like this for the rest of the year, but as of now, I'm grateful it is the way it is.

Till then,
Seize the day.
