The thought that I'll be flying away from the nest soon enough is pretty daunting yet exciting. Meeting new people in the form of dorm mates, having a place of your own (well, technically) in the form of a small room and a step further into the future. To ease the transition of leaving home, spruce up your dorm room to suit you.

I'm not really a fan of the beach because of the after effects of it all. When sand is everywhere, on my clothes, in my bag and it's just way too messy. Yet this editorial makes me yearn for the beach. The clothes are gorgeous, the prints, colors and textures. Perfect. 

Get ready to whip out those sunnies and head off to the beach.

  The holiday season is upon us and boy, do we want to look good. It is the time of year when nosy, cuddly aunts, jolly uncles, cousins of all kinds and lovely grandparents grace us with their presence. But don’t fret, they come bearing gifts.

   There will be an abundance of parties, dinners and such that we have to attend, thus we should show up in style. Here are some easy looks that will draw everyone’s eyes towards you with the right dose of flash.

Recesky Dreams

A few shots taken with my Recesky Stereo Pinhole Camera. Have not figured out how to truly work with this, but I'm glad not all of the pictures were exposed. I like the effects of it and would love to experiment more with this model.

Necessity

Everyone has a go to outfit. A summer dress that hugs the right places and flaunts your assets, a reliable pair of jeans that you can do everything in or maybe a basic tank top that goes with blazers, leather jackets and so much more.

One of my go to pieces would be this white dress with lace detailing because it compliments my body shape, snug on top with a flared bottom. I can wear it for a lot of occasions, a birthday party, movie day with my family, perhaps even an interview. For today's trip to the cinema to catch The Hobbit, I slapped on this spike hairband from Forever 21 to jazz up my look.

Besides that, I bring my orange handbag everywhere because most of the time it suits my outfits and it's the perfect size for everything I need. My current obsession would be my H&M heels, they are so comfortable, I could dance, run and fast walk in it without falling flat on my arse.

The Hobbit was incredible, it sucks you into this magical world and man, everyone deserves a great movie like this to forget their woes or for plain ol' enjoyment.

Raid His Closet

Men's clothes are absurdly comfortable. They're slightly oversize and are kind of slouchy on our frames. So, start raiding your brother's, dad's and boyfriend's closet because here are some ways to wear men's wear without looking butch.

After discovering that jacket from Kitschen's men section, I tend to wander to the men's section to find whatever gems I could uncover. A sweater, t-shirt, anything really, except maybe pants, shoes and perhaps underwear. Other than that, who says I can't wear guy's clothes? Most of the time, guys have better print designs than us when it comes to t-shirts.

Tip:

Roll up the sleeves to give that extra touch (and sometimes my arms just aren't long enough). You can either tuck in the ends of the shirt or tie it up or add a belt to cinch in your waist, all to show off a tad of our figure. 

All in all, just have fun with it.
