6/6: Mental Games

Necklace from Markets, Cotton On fringed cardigan, Thrifted top, Locoo belt,
H&M mullet skirt & platforms.

It is a wrap!

This is the last outfit from Lipstiq's KL Lookbook that Tasha Faye shot. She is amazingly talented, what with her ability to capture the right moments at the precise second. The shoot we had went by extremely fast and I love all the photos she sent me. Her editing skills are topnotch, adding that extra panache to every photo. She has a blog, people, so do check it out.

This week, I have a few interesting posts coming up and a photo shoot is scheduled on Monday. I'm so grateful to be surrounded by oh-so-creative friends who share similar interests. In a way, we think alike yet we have different perspectives. It is refreshing as they add splashes of colour into my life (as well as this blog). This is starting to sound very much like an appreciation post and it probably is but that's the way it is. I am simply grateful, happy and blessed. Surround yourself with people you love who love you back.

That is all.

5/6: The Violet Hour

H&M beanie and parka, Kyoto Protocol band tee, Cotton On shorts, Keds sneakers,
Watch from Bazarro.

It is officially Halloween week. My friends and I have been bouncing ideas of one another for we decided yesterday that we were actually gonna dress up. As of now, nothing is set in stone but we do have a rough idea of what we'll dress up as. The final looks will be posted here, IF we do actually go somewhere and not decide to crash at someone's place instead with boxes of pizza and a bunch of horror flicks.

What will you guys dress up as? It is a night where you can be whoever and whatever you wanna be after all, just go for it.

Till then,
Happy Halloween (in advance)!

4/6: Rouge

Thrifted top, Earrings from Morocco, Diva ring, Uniqlo pants & Flatforms from H&M.

This top is one of my absolute favourite finds. The fabric really drew me to it as I imagined myself wearing it on summery days (pretty much everyday in Malaysia). It's a light, easy breezy top when it is scorching hot out. I was pretty shocked to find out that this top is by Armani Exchange and I only had to fork out RM3.

Thrifting is the best.

3/6: Boy Scouts of America

Thrifted shirt & skirt, Bazzaro watch, Keds sneakers.

My friend, Riley, and I chanced upon a bundle stall in Aeon one day and he came across this Boy Scouts shirt. I'm so glad he talked me out of returning it to the rack. 'You will regret it if you put it back, you know it.'

When you chance upon something as unique as a Boy Scouts of America shirt in Malaysia, do not ever put it back on the rack, especially when it costs RM10 because that is a steal.

Till then,
May the thrifting gods bless you.

2/6 Halcyon

Hat, skirt & boots from H&M, Topshop crop top, Earrings from Morocco, Ring from Diva.

I absolutely adore the neckline of this crop top as it bares the rest of your shoulder instead of your collarbone. It is snug, so pairing it with this flared skirt balances out the silhouette.

Tasha and I were passing through the parking lot when we came across this small area with rows of shutters. The way it is faded and worn out intrigued us, so we decided to shot one of the looks there. It reminds me of old country homes with nothing around but miles of meadows into the horizon. Rustic and idyllic. (I'm in desperate need of a getaway. 9 more days to go.)

Inhale, exhale.

1/6 Get Back

H&M hat, Diva earrings & bracelets, Dress from Cambodia, Thrifted sheer vest, Forever 21 sandals.

I had the pleasure to shoot with Tasha Faye last week for Lipstiq.com's KL Lookbook. We shot mainly in Holiday Villa, walking around nonchalantly as we stumbled upon places to shoot. 2 hours, 6 looks, all in good time.

This particular outfit wasn't included in the look book but it's one of my favourites, therefore it shall be the first one up. This look is great for a day out with friends or a music festival perhaps. I think the dress and sheer vest complement each other really well. Always layer, you never know what might look good on a certain piece.

I will be posting more of the looks every now and then. To see more of Tasha Faye's amazing photos, check out her Facebook, Flickr or blog

Till then,
Get back to where you once belong.
