For the past few weeks, my lumpster, Tasha, has been raving about Avan Jogia non-stop because she was hooked on the TV series, Twisted. Pictures of him were sent on a daily basis, be it shots of him in the series, an interview or red carpet looks. So when my guy friends suggested posts on men's fashion, Tasha suggested Avan.
What I love about his style is his ability to mix colours, textures and prints. It is refreshing to see his looks, because they differ from the usual red carpet looks.
Take note of the way he matches different textures into an outfit, especially the third look. The colours of the third look is especially well put together. Usually guys tend to stick to solid colours, but warm tones complement each other, thus the third look. For semi formal events, you guys can opt for the first two looks.
Seriously, pay attention to the colours. For the first look, he relied mostly on solid colours with a print thrown into the mix as the cherry on top of an already good looking sundae. He skips the tie for the first and third look but makes up for it by buttoning his shirt all the way up. I really like the fact that he threw on a printed tie for the second look because it ties (ha ha) the whole look together in terms of colour and added print. A skinny tie is best for a look like that when you're under 25.
Who would have thought that green and salmon pink or light maroon (Who knows what colours those are because /flash/) would go well together. It isn't exactly 'WOW GENIUS HE LOOKS FANTASTIC', but it's all about taking risks and pulling it off with a confident smile. Layering is key too. You do not have to layer 4 shirts over one another with a blazer on top, but try it out once in awhile when it is chilly out. The second look is pretty darn good because it's of a metallic nature. When in doubt, go for an all black look but do try mixing up the textures.
Before I sign off, let's take a moment to appreciate his hair shall we? His hair is simply gorgeous and he looks so fine because let's face it, not all guys can pull off shoulder length hair.
Alright, moment's over.

Till then,
Experiment, experiment, experiment.
