Style Muse: Vanessa Anne Hudgens feat. Austin Butler

Every time Vanessa Hudgens appears on my dashboard, I can't help but reblog it because 99.8% of the time, she looks stunning. I love her style which is bohemian, feminine and laid back. She looks really comfortable and that's how it should be. Her outfits are well put together without looking overly planned and that's what I love about her.

My favourites, especially the first and last look. Where can I get dresses like that? The kimono cardigan paired with the sheer dress is breathtaking.

She looks so comfortable yet chic.

Unsure of what to wear to Good Vibes or Urbanscapes? Take a leaf out of their book. Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler are the epitome of what you should wear to a music festival.

Perdus Cette Nuit

A spontaneous trip to the cinema calls for an outfit pulled together under 5 minutes. This was the result:

Thrifted cardigan and skirt, Topshop crop top, H&M ring and boots

Skirts are great when you are torn between wanting to look good yet unwilling to part with the idea of comfort. Solution: high waist skirts. They take the crown as they cinch in your waist, giving you the ability to flaunt your curves.

Cotton On top, Forever 21 midi skirt, Shoes from Rome, H&M rings

Meet Marini, she might post some makeup tutorials here, very soon hopefully.

As you're reading this, I'm already on vacation with my family. We will be back real soon, much to my dismay, but it would be great either way because I have the chance to get away from it all and just escape. Everyone needs to escape once in awhile.

Pictures will be up when I'm back and maybe even a video? Who knows.

I shall leave you with one of my all time favourite French songs by BB Brunes to kick start your day/night. Whatever, get off the internet and live!

C'est la vie.

Towers

Thrifted lace dress, H&M nude platforms, Bag from Morocco

I really hated the length of this dress at first as it made me look shorter than I am, but pairing it up with a pair of nude platforms elongated my body. So keep in mind whenever you see a lovely dress with the pass-the-knee length, just throw on a pair of heels/flatforms/platforms to add height. (Read: not a good idea when running errands around town.)

Always experiment when it comes to fashion. You never know how the most unlikely pair might actually complement one another.

Adieu!

Tuesday Tunes: Seems To Be On My Mind

For days when your mind is all over the place.

Thrift Haul: 26/7/13

Thrifting is the best form of retail therapy. Why? The prices are dirt cheap plus you are contributing to a good cause.

Every month, I'll drop by Lovely Flea Market in SS2 to check out their latest selection of clothes. You never know what you might come across. Each time I'm there, I'll chance upon clothes from Topshop, BCBG Max Azria and on that particular trip, an Armani Exchange top. This is merely luck. If you're lucky, you might pick up a gem.

3 pieces for RM10. How is that not a steal?

Top :: Armani Exchange, Skirt :: Rope

Who says you can't construct an outfit for under RM10? This duo is my absolute favourite finds out of all my trips to Lovely Flea Market. The top is lightweight and is somewhat of a crop top length. Perfect for sweltering hot days. The bodycon high waist skirt, on the other hand, is great for days out or even a class presentation.

Skirt :: Unknown

Maxi skirts are great for days when you want something to cover your legs but not wanting the restriction of jeans or trousers. The slit at the sides are ideal for showing of your favourite pair of platforms or heels.

T-shirt :: Mooks

The eye and insect certainly caught my eye and I couldn't leave it behind. This t-shirt is in great condition and it's from an Australian street wear brand called Mooks. I like the simplicity of a black t-shirt with a somewhat complex print on it. Who is that man? Is it a man? Why is the insect there? Where is he? Some rocks are best left unturned.

Au revoir.

Theyskens' Theory Resort 2014

If I could own any collection from Resort 2014, I would pick Theyskens' Theory because every piece is so basic yet has its very own personality. This collection is extremely versatile that I can imagine myself styling it 50 ways, no matter the occasion, from dinner parties to a day of college, this collection is flawless.

"As Olivier Theyskens pointed out while presenting the collection today, his aim this time out was to make sure every piece in the collection was "a real essential," which pushed him to make a tight edit of his silhouettes." - Maya Singer, style.com

Every outfit looks absolutely comfortable and practical for everyday wear. I am madly in love with the sweater and slouchy jeans combo as well as the printed dress with cut out back.

What about you? Which collection from Resort 2014 would you like to own?

Many Setting Suns

It has been many setting suns since I last saw my friends, the people who I go to everyday in the last two years of high school. We've been through a lot together and it feels like everything is right in the world when we're all together. I miss you guys so, so much.

Thrifted sheer blouse, Sportswear worn as crop top, Bazaar bought high waist skirt,
H&M shoes, Charm bracelet from Europe

With these group of girls, do expect a shitload of pictures when the day is over.

Absolutely love Natalia's hair, done by her cousin. It's such a lovely shade of pink that reminds me of my neon pink sandals. After a few weeks after she dyed her hair, this is the aftermath. Strands of pink and strawberry blond. I'm in love as well as deeply inspired to dye my hair very, very soon.

Auf wiedersehen!
