Cambodia III: Bayon, Ta Prohm & Pub Street

As much as I was truly blown away by Angkor Wat's architectural beauty, I must admit that Bayon was the highlight out of the three temples we visited. The intricate carvings of Buddha's face on multiple stones and the columns built so high that my eye hurt trying to squint through the glaring sunlight as I tried to catch a proper glimpse of it all.

Needless to say, Bayon was breathtaking.

The last stop of the day before we proceeded to dive into our hotel's swimming pool was Ta Prohm where Tomb Raider was shot. Sky high trees surrounded the area and conquered the structures. It was certainly amazing to witness the strength of Mother Nature overpowering manmade structures.

A random fruit market we happened to stop by. If you're from Malaysia or Singapore, chances are you'll be able to name majority of the fruits there.

Coconut shake is a must try when in Cambodia. My sister and our family friend ordered it at EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT. Yes, it was THAT good.

Pub Street was our go to place for dinner. We went there every night, trying out random Cambodia dishes. The atmosphere there is really lively yet not overwhelming. Shopping for souvenirs and clothes isn't a problem there.

Diva flower headbands, Cotton On dress, Evil eye bracelet from Morocco,
Backpack from Sungei Wang, Topshop boots

That's a wrap for day 1. There aren't as many pictures the next two days so by the end of this week, you'll have seen most of the pictures I approve and know how my trip went.

Till then,
Sending virtual coconut shakes to all of you!
